Wow

It was ok, a bit glitchy, like clicking on things constantly repeated the action. I also defeated the wardrobe boss, watched my little dude kick his ass but then I clicked too early or something. Suddenly the boss was back, he shot moar beams from his eyes and now the game's frozen.

I cried when the old man died though, dramatic stuff.

Very easy

As a game goes, its fun, but its not difficult. At max damage level, all the weapons kill in four hits so Im sorta sat here wondering why I even bothered to buy them in the first place. At max I've seen 5 enemies on screen, and I managed to get out the boundary zone, simply run along the top layer of trees and eventually you dissappear and reappear beside a large gray rectangle. There were even less elves there, so I stopped playing and decided to write this instead.

It isn't loading.

I've left this running in the background, came back to it 2 hours later and it still hasn't loaded.

Message me when you fix it if you want me to review and rate it properly.

Really good concept.

With a few changes I think this could be awsome. By round ten I had everything I wanted and didn't need any more upgrades, so possibly some more expensive powerful options would be a good idea.
At the survival round all I did was spam confusion spells, combined with cheap swordsmen until I could buy a Commander. I might have lasted longer if there were more slots for your own choice of soldiers or spells, instead of Zap, which became pretty pointless when the enemy sent in those Battle Healer guys.
The Battle Healer guys themselves were pretty annoying too, as the constantly went around healing each other, and everything in like a 4 mile radius, and Zap couldn't take them out in one hit so they just healed again.
And finally, I'm not really sure why it kept happening but occasionally my units would burst into flames and run away into the trees. There was no warning it was going to happen and I couldn't manouver my guys away from whatever was causing it. I lost a good few Commanders that was.
Overall though, I really enjoyed it, and I played it all the way through to the end.

Thanks for your review! What difficulty were you playing on? If you were playing on easy, you get a lot of extra gold compared to the harder modes, which might have meant you had all the upgrades very quickly. Did you try using zap and fireball against the healers? The fireball sets enemies on fire if they have low enough health, so if you zap them first and then use fireball, you're more likely to set them on fire.

One of the units, the battle cleric, has a spell which causes units nearby to him to catch fire if they're weak enough. That could have been causing the problem.

I think I found a glitch :L

If you fire until your score drops to zero, it doesn't stay at zero. You can keep firing and it'll start to go back up again.

Apart from this, I really liked the game. Nice art and stuff, although there are a lot of ragdoll-cannon games.

Aw maaaaan ...

The intro looked awsome and intense, I started the tutorial and then it said,
"Use your mousewheel to zoom in"
My mousewheel is broken :L
Im hoping that theres a hotkey or something to zoom in? If so, I'm screwed.
(I havn't rated outta 5 yet, coz its not your fault it broke, and that would be really harsh. If there IS a hotkey, I will vote 5, this game looks really cool)

Its a great start, that's for sure

I think that if you updated this, you could make it into an incredibly fun and awsome game.

My main problem with this is that the zombies come in on parachutes, however, killing them en masse means that you build up a tower of bodies. Scaling the tower of bodies is fun, but serves no real purpose as it only brings you closer to the zombies spawning at the of the screen.

Therefore, to stay away from them, you have to stay near the ground, meaning the corpse climbing mechanism is pretty pointless.

If you were to change it so that the zombies came from either side of the screen and still piled up, I think this game would be much more worthwile because then piling the bodies up actually serves a purpose
(You are now much higher than the zombies, and it takes them longer to get to you).

But of course, the art is good, nice powerups and stuff, and because of that I can see that this game has lots of potential. Keep up the good work, and I hope you make a sequel to this.

It didn't load

From the other reviews, this looked like a really good game, so I decided to wait a bit. I came back to this 10 mins later and all I can see is a bright blue screen, immediatly after the advert loads.

I give 5/10 for the rating, because I couldn't play it, however I have not yet voted because its more than likely something wrong with my computer.
If you can fix this or tell me whats wrong, I'll vote.

Definately an improvement

I was terrified near the end that I wouldnt be able to use the Rosmary on any other level except for the Survival-Missle-Thing, but all the earlier missions were unlocked again so that was fine,
(But the Rosmary remains a pretty pointless gun :L)
Although the game is very well done, by the end I still thought there was something lacking. Being given the option to customise all those asome guns was, for me, wasted when all you got to shoot were cardboard terrorists and bottles... or some other guys hand...
I cant really criticise that though, because that was my own personal opinion, but if you make another, could you include the option to shoot at something a bit more rewarding? Maybe a ragdoll target or something? Moar gore?
Anways, it was still very fun

You made another!

I can see you put a lot of effort into this, the step back button was a great idea. After finding the evidence, I actually enjoyed the "Trial by Heavy" part, and I certainly wasn't expecting something like it.

Overall, the whole thing flowed really nicely, there was more thought put into this than many other submissions + TF2 theme = Win

I took a mark off though for little things, such as in text boxes, the letters g and y have their "tails" cut off, and the items box was rather large. Sawmill is also a bit confusing to navigate with arrows, but I think you did the best you could.
Keep making more, they are getting better and better :D

Mariofan9 responds:

Heh, thanks a lot for your review.
Did you download the Resident Evil font as adviced in the description?

As for the item box, it was large to conceal the arrows that pointed out the enemy's briefcase.

Anyway, thanks, but I had kind of set a goal for this project to mean something to me. 3,50/5, considering all the effort. I haven't really made that, so maybe it's time to put the TF2 point & click series to rest.
Maybe.

I hope to get better at drawing.
